Over 150 academicians from several universities in India and abroad written to Mr. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that delaying the engineering and medical entrance exams – JEE-Mains and NEET – any further will mean to compromise the students’ future. The government has announced the dates for JEE- Mains and NEET 2020 Exam any post delays in performing the exams will result in a waste of a valuable year for students. It said, “The future and dreams of the students and youth cannot be compromised at any cost. Well, some are trying to play with the future of our students simply to push their own political agenda and also oppose the government”.
The signatories consist of academicians from the Delhi University, Lucknow University, BHU, JNU, IIT Delhi, IGNOU, and Indian academicians from foreign universities like the University of London, and the University of California, The Hebrew University of Ben Gurion Jerusalem University, Israel among others.
It also added, “We strongly believe which the central government will successfully execute the JEE and NEET exams taking full precautions to make sure that the future of students is taken care of and the academic calendar for 2020-21 is rolled out.”
Various JEE and NEET students are opposing the conduction of the crucial exams in the middle of a burst in the Coronavirus cases on the country. On Wednesday, more than 150 academicians from several universities around the world wrote the letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in favor of executing the JEE 2020 and NEET 2020 examinations.
Over 14 Lakh admit playing cards for the engineering and medical entrance exams – JEE and NEET had been downloaded after the NTA (National Testing Agency) launched them on Wednesday, whilst the issue was mentioned widely all through collecting of chief minister of non-BJP dominated states who decided to collectively transfer the Supreme Court to chase rescheduling of those exams.

There are a lot of the apprehensions about the classes and admission that need to be fixed at the earliest”, academicians said in their letter according to the news agency PTI.
Post, in the letter, several noted academicians said that millions of the students have just passed the Class 12 board examination around the nation and are eagerly waiting to take admissions in the top universities and institutes.
JEE, NEET exams should be held as planned: JNU VC
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) vice-chancellor Mr. Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar on Wednesday said that JEE and NEET exams should be held as planned in September. In a tweet, Vice-chancellor Kumar said, “Both JEE and NEET should be held as planned in September. This is not the right time for creating further anxiety in the minds of students by insisting on the postponement of these exams.”
JEE and NEET Main Admits cards released:
Amid the opposition leaders attacking the Central Government to conduct the exams, NTA has released the admit cards of both JEE and NEET. All the candidates can download the same from the official websites that are jeemain.nta.nic.in and ntaneet.nic.in. Over 14 lakh candidates have downloaded the admit cards for JEET and NEET.
While the NEET is planned on the September 13, engineering entrance exam JEE Main is scheduled from September 1-6 Around 9.53 lakh candidates have registered for JEE-Mains and 15.97 lakh students have registered for NEET. These exams have been already deferred two times in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic. JEE-Main was originally supposed to be held from April 7-11 but postponed to July 18-23. NEET-UG was originally scheduled for May 3 and after that, pushed to July 26 and they were postponed again and are scheduled now in September.
