An automobile manufacturing company gave away 10 Suzuki Gixxer sports bikes as a part of their CSR that is Cooperate social responsibility campaign. The traffic issues of the Maharashtra Capital are well known all around the world and for the situation, there are many factors responsible and the rapid growth in its population is one of the main factors for it out of many others.
The traffic police as well as the administration of the city keep taking notable measures every now and then, to overcome the situation. But as per the recent reports, an automobile manufacturing company has come forward with a helping hand and as a result to that, Mumbai police gets sports bike. It will be helpful for the traffic police in the management of traffic around the city. As the bikes will make the travel faster and easier for the traffic police force which would further lead to faster clearance of congestion on the roads of the city.
Also, the bikes will be of help during emergencies as with the help of the bikes it will become easier for the police to make way for green corridors. These new sports bikes are well resourced with all the sirens, PA systems, and also charging sockets.
As per a senior traffic official the traffic divisions have been given proper instructions that are to be followed strictly for the use of those bikes. The divisions have been told to use those bikes for looking into the complaints that will be coming through social media such as twitter or through what’s app. Other than that the bikes will be taken into use for addressing medical emergencies. As a further explanation to this the joint commissioner of traffic police said “In case of emergencies, these bikes will be leading the ambulance or fire engines to pave the way and clear the roads of any vehicular traffic. Moreover, the bikes are fitted with public announcements systems/mics, which can be used to instruct the motorists.”
The 10 traffic divisions that have been provided with the bikes include Bandra Kurla Complex, Mahim, Dadar, Malabar Hill. Vikhroli, Worli, Sahar, and Tardeo. These bikes will be majorly taken into use for clearing traffic on the congested roads. As it is not easy to use jeeps and other bigger vehicles at such places but the bikes can reach, there easily and the police will then be able to easily resolve the traffic issues there.
Other than the features of the bike that have been discussed above, there are some more features associated with it those are the engine of the bike is 250 CC also it comes with an automatic starter two dickies with good storage in them the policeman can easy carry important documents, emergency kits and many other things that are important to be carried along while being on the duty.
Now it is to be seen the way these bikes make a difference in the current situation of traffic in Mumbai. The automobile manufacturing company surely deserves a huge applause for the taken step as the condition of Mumbai traffic is really bad and there is a lot that can be done to make that better. As the proverb says “Little drops make the ocean” this little contribution of the automobile company can be counted as that same little drop in the ocean.
Not everything can be left at the government’s responsibility if the citizens have been given the rights then along with the rights there also comes a sense of responsibility that every citizen should understand using just the rights without exercising the responsibilities can really be dangerous sometimes and also it is not something that can be socially accepted. The day when both the government as well as the citizen will be well aware of all their rights as well as responsibilities and will be well dedicated towards them and will work in full cooperation with each other that day all the problems will be very easy to be resolved this is rather the best policy for not just Mumbai but all over India.
Traffic is one department but if we get into the broader aspect we would find that not just traffic but every department needs to work on the responsibilities that are given to it but it is just impossible for any department to work efficiently without proper cooperation from the society.
CSR or the cooperative social responsibility is something that should be understood and should be taken as an initiative by all the small and large scale businesses every business can contribute in its own way towards the development of the nation. Fulfilling CSR is not just about the development of the nation or about saving taxes in the name of charity there is much more to it as fulfilling this responsibility increases the goodwill of the business as well as the people associated with the business.
