First of all to start with for all those who are again trying to get back to the normal life that was at the times before the pandemic, well unfortunately we are still not free of it. Perhaps, for a few years from now, we can say that living with the pandemic is the actual new normal. So, yes it is still very important to take all the precautions against the deadly virus and all its variants that are coming up every now and then at regular intervals.

Traveling during a pandemic –

Well, it is due to the movement of people from here to there that every time the pandemic takes a toll. It is this way that the virus is transferred from one person to another. So yes in a general discussion we should still stick to not traveling anywhere until and unless it is really very important and needed. But, also we cannot deny the fact that in certain cases traveling becomes extremely important. So, if yours is one such case then there are certain points to consider before traveling anywhere around the world in the given current situation.

Here, to make your travel less stressful and complicated we will further discuss all those points at length so that you will be able to tick them all in your mental note before leaving for any journey.

Let us start with some very general points to remember-

  • Your vaccination course should be up to date and also if your country has any booster shot, then yes please take that too.
  • Wash your hands regularly with soap and water; you should be doing this for 20 seconds at least.
  • You can also use alcohol-based sanitizers if you wish to avoid contacting cold water again and again during these cold waves.
  • Try not to touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unclean hands
  • Also, you should keep working on disinfecting all those things that  you touch  on a regular basis
  • If you are coughing or sneezing then do not forget to cover it all with a tissue
  • After using the tissue throw it away and wash your hands properly
  • If you are sharing your living space with other people then please open your doors and windows so that there is more fresh air in the house.
  • If you are at a public place or in public transport then do not forget to use face coverings
  • Also, try to stay away from people try not to come too close to anyone especially if someone is sick.

Other than these general things, there is still more one should be careful about, further to make it easy for people we will see all of that too.

Before starting with the travel, you should go through the points to consider for the travelers by the country you are traveling to. This will help you with the further maintenance of a smooth traveling experience.

There are different guidelines released by different countries for the traveler coming from different countries, therefore, checking through the guidelines is really very important.

For example, if you are planning to Travel to Italy, or if you are planning to travel somewhere else from there, then you should wear an FFP2 mask. Irrespective of your vaccination status you will need to fill up a proper declaration form. Other than this you will need to show your vaccination certificate also you need to be fully vaccinated including the booster. Other than this you will also have to give a negative test report taken either 24 hours or 48 hours prior to your travel.

The non-vaccinated children who are under the age of 12 and are traveling with fully vaccinated adults do not need to follow any quarantine rules.

Similarly, other countries also have given their own guidelines that people traveling from those countries and to those countries do need to follow.
