Yes, you read it right Sushant Singh Rajput, who is popular for his roles in T.V. Series like “Pavitra Rishta” and movies like “Chhichhore” left the world for his journey towards heaven on 14 -06-2020 at a young age of 34. The actor committed suicide he was battling with depression from a very long time as suggested by the investigating sources, the police claim that they found anti-depressants and also many prescriptions of psychologists from the residence of the actor he was under treatment for depression since six months of time. Many celebrities and other famous people sent their condolences to the family of the deceased. Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi tweeted “Sushant Singh Rajput…a bright young actor gone too soon. He excelled on TV and in films. His rise in the world of entertainment inspired many and he leaves behind several memorable performances. Shocked by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and fans. Om Shanti”.
There is no reason visible as to why Sushant chose this path because as we see him he was an emerging and promising actor in the industry, but depression is something that eats you up internally it has always been hard for the people around to get into the fights that their loved ones are fighting internally and all by themselves.
Depression is a topic that needs to be discussed for increasing the awareness about it, this is a serious matter and needs to be dealt with equal seriousness, the first and the most important thing is that people need to understand the difference between a depressed person and a person who is mentally challenged and as compared to mental sickness depression is much easier to be cured, all that is needed for a depressed person is an ear to hear. The environment should be such that everyone has someone to share all that he or she is feeling parents should keep their bonds friendly with their children siblings should develop a better understanding among themselves friendships should be the most comfortable of all the bonds. The power of hearing is underestimated but the truth is listening comforts the speaker a lot it makes the person feel lighter at heart.
Depression is typical as it is associated with the emotions of a particular person and human being is very much diverse when it comes to emotions a human being is capable of feeling thousands of emotions at a single time and also of feeling none of them at some other point of life but still if everyone would remain alert all the time and would be providing a helping hand to all those who need it then the cure of the problem would be very easy. As per the reports released by WHO India shows the highest percentage of suicides all due to different reasons and committed by people living in different sectors of the society, it is high time that we start taking the mental health of the people equally serious to some physical health issue. People need to learn to listen without being judgmental towards the people and their situations life is a precious gift of God and it is the duty and responsibility of each and every individual of the society to keep it protected be it someone else’s or be it his or her own. Living a happy and healthy life is like a basic human right of every individual living on Earth ad it should not be violated in any condition at any cost. It is very essential for everyone to behave humanly with everyone every individual deserves a dignified life and people should be careful about not hurting the dignity of any living being as that may also lead to irreversible damage to their mental health and that can be fatal for their life.
If we talk about Bollywood this is not first such incident there are many would have the same fate as Sushant, as one more such example we can count on Parveen Babi if we go into the history, she also just chose to leave the world and go and all that was left behind was the question why? And the question still remains unanswered and here the history has repeated itself once more this time in the face of a young talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput and the whole world is still stuck with the same question “Why.” But if someone would have heard it in time the situation would have been different some worthy talents would have been alive entertaining the world and taking the name of the country to new heights each and every day
Sushant was somewhere left out in the glamour of B town this was more evident by the fact that even after the lockdown is over and things and shoots are getting back to normal in the city of dreams but still except for Nana Patekar and Shekhar Suman not many from the industry met his family after his sad demise the funeral was also not attended by many except for few such as Vivek Oberoi.
Further probe in the matter brought out that the actor was more of a victim of nepotism he lost 7 films in a row even after a successful movie “Chhichhore” being from a non – filmy background became a drawback for him. At many points in his life, he indicated that he being the find of a television industry was still not accepted in Bollywood as he should have been.
In his last Instagram post, he was seen remembering his mother, it is said that the actor was very close to his mother but lost her when he was just 16 years old. The actor left behind his father and 3 sisters he was the youngest child of his parents and also the only son. After the loss of veteran actors like Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan we have lost another gem Sushant Singh Rajput but all that can be done is praying for the peace of the departed soul and also for the strength and well being of the family he left behind.
