About Coronavirus

Coronavirus a nowadays, getting very popular as a dangerous virus that can affect you and yes your family. This virus is found in animals and can be transmitted from animals to humans and after that spread from person to person. Apart from this, COVID- 19, other human Coronaviruses include:

The MERS virus or the Middle East respiratory syndrome

The SARS virus, or the severe acute respiratory syndrome, that first happened in the Guangdong prefecture in Southern China.
Before moving ahead, it has become very essential to know the Symptoms of this Coronavirus-
The virus can cause just like pneumonia symptoms. Those who are suffering from fever or fallen ill reported suffering fever and breathing issues. As this is viral pneumonia, antibiotics will not work effectively and the patient suffers for a long time like 7-10 days. It has seen that the antiviral drugs against flu will not work and there is currently no drugs or vaccine of this virus. The recovery totally depends on the strength of the patients’ immune system.
The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK, has recognized the symptoms as facing either:

  • Continuous cough- it means you have started coughing constantly
  • High temperature- the patient feels hot to touch on your back or chest

Those patients with a weak immune system might create more serious symptoms such as bronchitis or pneumonia. You might never develop the symptoms after being exposed to the COVID-19. More confirmed cases are in adults but some kids have been infected. There is no evidence that the kids are at more risk to get the virus.
Note: Never trust on the rumors and just consult the doctor immediately if you are feeling uneasy or coughing repeatedly

Causes of Coronavirus Infection:

Humans first get a coronavirus from contact with animals. After that, it can spread from human to human. The Health officials don’t know which animal caused COVID-19. The COVID-19 virus can spread via contact with certain bodily fluids, like droplets in a cough. It may also be caused just by touching something an infected person has contacted or touched and then, touching your hand to your mouth, eyes, or nose.
It is different from Normal Influenza and the experts are really worried. Because, the doctors don’t know how dangerous this new Coronavirus is and they won’t know unless more data comes in, but calculations of the humanity rate have ranged from well below the 1% in the young to over 3% across those who are old or have some health issues or underlying health conditions. Seasonal flue typically has a death rate below 1% and is thought to cause about 40,000 deaths every year worldwide. In Sars, the death rate is more than 10%.
Another key unknown is how infectious the coronavirus is. A critical difference is that unlike flu, there’s no vaccine for the new coronavirus, which means it is more critical for vulnerable members of the population – old people or those who already have respiratory or immune problems- to safeguard themselves. Hand-washing and to avoid other people if you feel uneasy are essential.
Coronavirus Diagnosed:
If you believe you have COVID-19, you should consult your family doctor immediately. Before going to the office of the doctor, call with your concerns. It will allow the office to gather detail and provide the exact guidance on the next steps. Your doctor might run tests to rule out other common infections. In most of the cases, the doctor might recommend you to self-isolate to prevent the spread of infection.
Can a Coronavirus be avoided or prevented?
Try to avoid people who are sick and avoid meeting the people who have a cough or cold. Stay home if you are sick. Cover your cough with a tissue or cough into your upper sleeve or elbow. It is advisable to not cough into your hands. Wash your hands with soap and water on a constant basis for at least 20 seconds, specifically after using the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, sneezing, or coughing. If soap and water are not willingly available, use a hand sanitizer that is formulated with alcohol with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with water and soap if hands are dirty. Avoid touching your nose, mouth, or eyes.
Coronavirus Treatment
There is currently no treatment or vaccine for COVID-19. Symptoms of a Coronavirus often go away on their own. If symptoms feel inferior to a common cold then contact your doctor. The doctor might prescribe pain or fever medication. As with a cold or flu, drink fluids and get complete rest. If you are getting into trouble while breathing or seek then immediately consult a doctor.
As we, already discussed, it is advisable to avoid contact with others when you are sick and if you have COVID- 19 then wear a facemask to protect spreading the virus to others. The CDC doesn’t advise wearing a mask if you do not have COVID-19. But, be sure to wash your hand from time to time and use alcohol-based sanitizer to stay protected from this dangerous virus.
